Accessibility Statement

Built to meet WCAG 2.2 AA. If anything doesn’t work for you, tell us.

Last updated October 4, 2026

Pride is for everyone, and so is this Site. We build and test it to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.

What we’ve done

  • Every page works with a keyboard, with visible focus and a “Skip to content” link.
  • Text and controls meet color-contrast requirements, and pages hold up when zoomed to 200%.
  • Animation can be turned off with “Skip motion,” and the Site follows your device’s reduced-motion setting.
  • Images carry text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Forms label every field, explain errors in plain language and never rely on color alone.
  • We check pages with automated tools and by hand with screen readers before they go live.

Known limitations

Some older news stories brought over from our previous website have photos without full descriptions, and some partner documents are PDFs we didn’t create. We’re working through them. If you need any of it in another format, ask and we’ll provide it.

At our events

For accessibility at the festival, parade and LBCPride365 events, such as accessible viewing areas, ASL interpretation or quiet spaces, contact us before the event and we’ll do everything we can.

Tell us

If anything on the Site doesn’t work for you, email info@longbeachpride.com or call (562) 987-9191. Tell us the page and what happened. We aim to respond within five business days and to get you what you need another way in the meantime.
