This policy explains the cookies and similar browser storage the Site uses. In short: we don’t use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don’t sell or share your information.
What we use
Essential
Needed for the Site to work. These can’t be switched off in our systems.
- WordPress sign-in cookies (
wordpress_logged_in_…,wordpress_sec_…,wp-settings-…): set only for staff and volunteers who sign in to manage the Site. Visitors don’t receive them. - Form security: application and newsletter forms use hidden spam checks that don’t store anything on your device.
Preferences
Saved in your browser’s local storage, not in cookies, and never sent to us:
lbp-motion: remembers if you turned off motion with “Skip motion.” Kept until you clear your browser data.lbp-ptandlbp-pt-last: let the page-transition flag carry over from one page to the next. Cleared when you close the tab.
Third-party services
Some features load from other providers, which have their own policies:
- Adobe Fonts serves our typefaces. Adobe states it doesn’t set cookies for web fonts.
- jsDelivr serves an animation library. It doesn’t set cookies.
- YouTube videos embedded in some stories may set cookies once you play them.
- Payment and email providers, such as Stripe for vendor fees and donations or our email newsletter service, may set cookies on their own pages when you pay or subscribe.
Analytics and advertising
The Site doesn’t currently use analytics, advertising or social-media tracking cookies. If that changes, we’ll update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings; the Site will still work, though you may need to turn “Skip motion” on again. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. See Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information and our Privacy Policy.
