Fearless and Free: Long Beach Pride 2026 Theme Logo Art Contest

Our 2026 theme is “Fearless and Free,” and we are looking for the artist who will give it a face. Long Beach Pride invites artists and graphic designers to create the official theme logo for our 2026 celebration, held May 16 and 17 in Long Beach.

We announced the theme on Jan. 26, 2026. It honors a long history of resilience and the idea that standing fearlessly in love is the path to freedom. Now we want to see what it looks like through your eyes.

How to Enter

• Theme: “Fearless and Free”
• Who can enter: All artists and graphic designers
• Deadline: Feb. 20, 2026
• Prize: $500

We are looking for artwork that conceptualizes the theme. The chosen design will be used in advertising and merchandise for Long Beach Pride events and products, and it will be featured across all of our 2026 media materials.

Within our community, we have so many talented individuals and as a LGBTQ+ organization it is our honor to offer a safe platform that allows everyone a chance to shine. We encourage submissions that embody the diversity, unity, and spirit of the LGBTQ+ community.

Each year’s logo builds on the ones before it. In 2024, Carlos Sosa’s artwork carried “The Rhythm of the Rainbow,” our celebration of music, and it was his second win after designing our 2019 logo. In 2025, Long Beach designer Sabrina Ortiz captured “The Power of Community” with a circle of people holding hands. Both designs went on to appear everywhere from banners to social media.

Save the Date

The 2026 celebration begins with Teen Pride on Friday, May 15, at Marina Green Park. The Long Beach Pride Festival follows on May 16 and 17, and the Long Beach Pride Parade travels Ocean Boulevard on Sunday, May 17. The festival and parade are a movement, a statement and a rhythm of hope, and we can’t wait to see this year’s theme carried down Ocean Boulevard.

Long Beach Pride is a nonprofit organization known for its annual Pride festival, parade and Teen Pride events. We have celebrated the LGBTQ+ community since 1984, and we would love for your art to be part of that story.
