The Long Beach Pride Team2 min read
Artists and graphic designers were invited to design the official Long Beach Pride 2025 theme logo, “The Power of Community,” for a $500 prize.
Long Beach Pride announced on October 28, 2024, an art contest to create the official theme logo for Long Beach Pride 2025, set for May 17 to 18, 2025. The 2025 theme is “The Power of Community,” and we are inviting artists and graphic designers to help shape the look of one of Long Beach’s biggest celebrations.
The winning artwork will be everywhere in 2025: on our advertising, on Pride merchandise, and across all Long Beach Pride 2025 media materials, giving the artist wide recognition.
Contest Details

Within our community, we have so many talented individuals, and as an LGBTQ+ organization, it is our honor to offer a safe platform that allows everyone a chance to shine. We encourage submissions that embody the diversity, unity, and power of the LGBTQ+ community.

A Tradition of Community Artists
Each year’s theme logo becomes the face of the festival, and the contest has given local artists a real stage. For 2024, Carlos Sosa’s design “The Rhythm of the Rainbow 2024” led our advertising campaigns and merchandise, weaving bright colors and rhythmic patterns into the year’s theme.
It was not his first win. Sosa also designed the 2019 logo for the theme “Millions of Moments of Pride,” a triangular design that marked the 50th anniversary of Stonewall and was draped in the colors of Gilbert Baker’s Rainbow Flag. That is the kind of meaning we hope 2025 entries will carry: a design that tells our community’s story at a glance.
Share Your Work
Artists are encouraged to share their designs on social media using the hashtag #LBPRideArt2025.
Long Beach Pride 2025 takes place May 17 to 18, 2025, with the parade on Sunday, May 18. Long Beach Pride, a nonprofit organization, has celebrated the LGBTQ+ community since 1984 with its annual festival, parade and Teen Pride, and we cannot wait to see “The Power of Community” come to life in the hands of our artists.
