The story opened with words from Elsa Martinez, our co-president at the time, who also thanked the performers for connecting with longtime supporters and first timers alike.
We are thrilled to commemorate Long Beach Pride’s 40th year with a remarkable festival and parade that honors our vibrant and thriving LGBTQ+ community.

According to The Pride LA, Saturday opened with a live set from Symone of “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” joined by La Diva Lucia Mendez and singer Gio Mendez. Sunday brought Grammy winner Mya, Laura Leon and Edith Marquez. The Drag Dome gave drag artists their own stage, with Jasmin Masters, Delta Work, Jewels Long Beach and Honey Davenport among the performers. Over at the Dance Stage, DJ Ivan, DJ Joe Pacheco, DJ Jerac, DJ Kidd Madonny and DJ Kimberly S kept things moving with EDM, reggaeton and house.
Festivalgoers also found food from local vendors and food trucks, plus booths selling apparel, wellness products and more.
The weekend closed with the parade along East Ocean Boulevard. The Mary Jane Girls led the way as Parade Grand Marshals, with NBC4 anchor Annabelle Sedano and Telemundo 52 anchor Enrique Chiabra as Media Grand Marshals and Mayor Rex Richardson as Political Grand Marshal. Dancers, bands and longtime contributors filled the route.
The Pride LA also named the partners who helped carry the celebration beyond the shoreline: Telemundo 52 and NBC4 as official media partners, and radio partners CHANNEL Q, iHeartMedia Los Angeles and Mayra Berenice En Vivo of 107.1 FM. We are thankful to every one of them, and to everyone who came out to make our 40th a weekend to remember.
