Take the Metro A Line to 1st Street Station and walk 10 minutes to Marina Green for Long Beach Pride, May 18 and 19, 2024.

Getting to Long Beach Pride this year can be part of the fun. We are partnering with the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) so everyone heading to the 41st annual Long Beach Pride Festival and Parade on May 18 and 19, 2024, has an easy, affordable and eco-friendly way to get here. We call it Ride with Pride.

It means one of the most inclusive celebrations in Southern California is now a train ride away for neighbors across the county.

Taking the A Line

From Azusa and other parts of the county, hop on Metro’s A Line toward Long Beach and get off at 1st Street Station. From there it is a 10-minute walk down Ocean Boulevard to the heart of the festivities at Marina Green Park.

Metro has many Park & Ride lots across the county, and parking costs $3 a day, paid on site. Parking is free at six A Line stations between Downtown Los Angeles and Long Beach. Metro’s Parking Planner has the details, and the Metro Trip Planner can help you map your trip to and from the festival.

Pride on Board

Metro is celebrating Pride Month by wrapping several of its buses and trains in Pride designs as part of its Ride with Pride campaign. It is a colorful show of support for the LGBTQ+ community, and it adds to the festive feeling for every rider. Keep an eye out for them on your way to the shore.

Once you arrive, there is plenty waiting. Our 2024 theme is “The Rhythm of the Rainbow,” a celebration of music and the way it brings us together. Saucy Santana headlines Saturday, Ivy Queen headlines Sunday, and the parade on May 19 is free and open to all.

About Metro

Metro is the lead transportation planning and funding agency for L.A. County. It carries more than 900,000 boardings daily on six electric rail lines and 117 bus routes, using more than 2,200 low-emission buses, and is working to greatly improve mobility through its Vision 2028 Plan. Follow Metro’s news on The Source and El Pasajero at metro.net.

Long Beach Pride is a nonprofit that has celebrated the LGBTQ+ community since 1984 with our annual festival, parade and Teen Pride. We are grateful to Metro for helping more of our neighbors get to Marina Green. Take the train, skip the parking search, and start your Pride the moment you board.
